Hey Ya’ll. Bob Brennaman back here with you today. I’m a realtor out here on Daniel Island and today we’re going to cover a neighborhood that’s been built, probably three or four years ago. And it’s the Landings at Sweetwater. Landings at Sweetwater is being built by Eastwood Homes and they’ve built a good number of houses. Not a ton in Mt. Pleasant or Daniel Island over the years. But they’ve built out in Summerville. I think they’re a regional builder and they do a pretty good job. The neighborhood is set up with Charleston style single family homes, 3 to 5 bedrooms. They range in square footage between 2100 to around 3500 square feet. They have drive under garages, so they’re elevated houses and the price range on these is anywhere from $400 K to low $500 K’s. The location of this is off Clements Ferry Road and it’s more on the rapidly becoming un-rural part of Daniel Island. Again, most of you who know anything about Daniel Island only know the part that’s on the tip that’s close to Charleston, which is the big development the Daniel Island Company has been doing for the last 20 or so years. But this is developing further up Clements Ferry Road and this neighborhood and the Landings at Sweetwater is part of the redevelopment of that corridor. I love the location of this. You have to get past the rural – ness of it. It’s not as polished as Mt. Pleasant and certainly not as polished as the Daniel Island Company’s Development of the tip of Daniel Island. But I think if you’re going to ‘long term’ buy, I really like rural Daniel Island. I’ve been telling people this for the last couple of years. If I was buying for investment, I would strongly consider it. And again, you’ve got to get past the imperfections of the country having the town built up around it. But I really like that neighborhood and I would recommend it if you’re shopping in the Daniel Island area. The schools are the Philip Simmons schools. You have Philip Simmons Elementary, Middle and High School. Really good facilities there. Nice gymnasium. And for what I understand from friends who’ve pulled their kids out of private school and sent their kids to that school out there, there are small class sizes. I don’t know how that will be over the long term, but I think right now, it’s great for people who are wanting to go public education but not have massive class sizes that you have in some of the bigger and larger schools. Again, my name is Bob Brennaman. I’m a realtor on Daniel Island. I’m a long time resident of Charleston and if you have questions, you want to talk about real estate, you want to talk about living here and you want some suggestions on where to eat when you come here for vacation, I’d love to talk to you.
